I really hadn't thought about using additional tower wall sections to increase the diameter, but I'm not always the best about thinking outside of the box when it comes to models and miniatures.

What sort of dimensions are you thinking off - both diameter and height (# of floors)?

If you are planning to detail the interior of every floor, one option is to go with the CWU stone building, instead of the towers. Just have nothing but blank outside walls for the lower floors (or maybe paste on a few arrow slits). Each floor is 6x6" and 3" high. Stack three of those on top of each other, and you're already higher than the standard octagonal CWU towers. Heck, I would recommend stacking a regular CWU tower on top of that! (Rotate the octagonal tower by 45 degrees, so you'll have just a little more space on the parapet alongside the tower.)

For props, Castles&Keeps is a must, but don't forget about DungeonWorks as well. It's got some nice floor tiles (magic circles, game boards, etc), plus a library with bookcase and lectern, a torture room, a brazier, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

I send my players to towers quite often, but I never considered doing that! Gonna have to see how many pieces of a CWU tower I'll need to build a full scale version. What I used for the last tower was Dundjinni and we had 2 dimensional maps.

Damn you Denny, you just added more work to my model load!
