I have purchased some sets in the past (the maiden, village works) and as I'm a judge fro Herclix I was very itnrested in Urban Mayhem.

After purchasing the first set I was very thrilled. The only thing missing where some nice 3D building.

then a couple of months later UM : Mayhem armoury came out.

Now I purchased it immediatly but due to lack of time I've only recently started putting things together and it was then that I encountered this problem.

Heroclix uses 1,5" squares (which is thanfully supported by WWG) the tiles from the original set are 5 by 5 squares. Now the buildings from Mayhem armoury do not match.

on two sides you have a bit a sidewalk which is still 5 by 5 but with incomplete squares you then have some small blocks whoch can not be used and are just filler and then inside you have a 4 by 4 square of your building. This is unfortunately completely not useable for our games

Has anybody encountered this as well ?

After this disappointment I am reluctant to purchase the next installment Bits of Mayhem. Are the buildings in 1,5" format the same there ? or are they 5 by 5 squares ?

Yeah, I had the same disappointment on the somewhat disjointed support of 1.5" in the Mayhem Armory release. I also have the same problem as you in that the building grids don't line up with the street grids. This effectively makes them unusable for a real game, or at least introduces confusion on counting squares for movement and attack. I ended up working around this by bashing all the buidling walls, floors and roofs to adhere to the true 1.5" grid. That really put a damper on my builds because I spent so much time on the computer converting things over (I'm not even close to understanding photoshop)...
I haven't purchased the Bits of Mayhem release yet, but would expect to see the same thing there, which means, I'll be back at the computer bashing things out to the 1.5" grid size they need to be for use in my clix games. Oh, well...

Are you worried about the playability gap, or the fact that the squares inside a building are offset from the squares outside the buildings?

well both

I want it to be playable in the heroclix system (you knwo the where they use the models from for their preview pics) and for that I need it squares to line up so all tiles are a nice 5 by 5

I've bought all the mayhem stuff over the weekend and so far have had no probles with it lining up. Cuz I myself are going to use it for heroclixs and seen nor had and lining up issues. If I come across any I'll be sure to repost.

Are you still looking for help/advice on the buildings? I haven't seen anything new on this thread, so thought I ask. I don't know the rules for sharing bashes, so we'd have to ask Denny for permission or whatever, but I do have almost everything from MA bashed out to 1.5". I'd be willing to share what I have with you, only issue I have is that that's a huge amount of data, on the order of 5-10MB per wall. LMK if you are interested.

yes I am still looking for it So I can use this set with the Heroclix game.

I have a gmail account which should be able to handle that amount of data.
If sharing this kitbash should be a problem for Denny I have no problem purchasing it for a small additional fee if it was put together with the other kitbashes on the site.

Let's wait for his opinion in the matter.

So you know, sharing isn't allowed. However, we do allow kitbash submissions. (btw, your MA Garage Door was submitted to Denny today)

Do you think it'd be possible to take your files and find a way that someone would have to have MA to make it work? In other words, a kitbash can't be too complete, or there'd be no reason to get the model set in the first place.

How many pages do you think you could trim it to, just including the conversion pieces (whatever that entails - do tell)?
