In my search for individual markers to suit my needs for both cardstock and matboard builds, I finally broke down and started searching small stores which are a bit more pricey than the larger chains, but cheaper in the long run (like buying individual markers instead of 24 packs, just to get one). I stumbled across the Letraset ProMarker's, permanent twin-tip felt markers that are available in a variety of shades of browns and greys (heh, the only color I really looked at as it's what I was looking for). One side has a finepoint tip, the other a chiseltip. If they work out they will surpase my needs. I am going to test them out, hopefully today, and if they suit my needs I'll be able to finish the Maiden II, though I doubt I'll have pics up for tonights show.

They are made in England, and I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with them. At $4.25 a marker they had better be worth it as that price just makes me cringe. Here's hoping for a good longevity in usefulness.

I use crayola. Got fine tips and broad tips. No bleeding or running gives more control. Got all of the basic colors covered in the 10 pack. Can wipe off of areas that are laser printed, so I've never needed to do touchups after a slip.

If you ask me, they blow sharpies out of the water when it comes to edging.

Crayola? That's a really good idea. I have used sharpies and get a lot of bleeding. I have to be very careful not to leave the pen touching the card in one place for more than a split second... and so rushing, often draw all over my stuff. I will have to try out some Crayola.

i have a Japanese version of what you have Shatteredragon, it was a little cheaper than the other ones the art store had, but you can only get em' in basic colours(black, red, green and blue) while the others have like 60 shades, i'm gonna get some of these when i get my next load of foam board(gray and brown)

You can't use crayola with matboard, you'll never get the glue to hold ever again, trust me I tried, then threw away the parts, bad idea. For cardstock sure, but matboard, no way, never again.

Wish I had realized that markers came with tips on both ends. I purchased Sharpies of various tip sizes. Guess I need to hit a real artists store instead of Office Depot.
