i made the tabs for the floors bigger. makes them easier to fold and to add glue

build a bridge out of her!

i worked on the bridge for the first light and with trial and error i was able to make a bigger bridge! i didn't use cardstock, wasn't going to use the good stuff on a first attempt.

step 1 - i used photoshop to copy and paste a floor tile so i could have a full floor



step 2 - i have the free adobe pdf reader, so i might be missing the fancy tools. i used my photoshop to reverse the page and then reverse the name of the boat



step 3 - i trimmed the floor one of the bridge pieces so i could line up the floor, but i left it one so i could use it as a tab for glueing



step 4 - glued them together!



step 5 - i deciced to cut out the terminal from this piece, i'm going to use some of the props to make controls and such.



i realized after i had glued the exterior of the bridge i should have glued the exterior/interior pieces together which would have made putting it all together easier... like i said trial and error



step 7 - the semi completed bridge!



step 8 - i printed 2 copies of corridor 1 from the first light extra, then i cut out the doorway, lined them up and trimmed them down to fit the back of the bridge





i glad my idea worked and once i've done it with cardstock i will post those pics as well

Very neatly done, good clean build too. I look forward to seeing the finish cardstock result.

i glued in transparent paper for the windows




after i was done glueing and taping the 2 windows together, i had the thought i could have made it with photoshop



i get so into a idea that new ones struggle to spark

So Evildead1971 what's the overall aim with the bridge? Are you building an entire ship or just bits?, a crash site would combine well with the Mars pictures earlier I reckon

i used photoshop to block out the windows. crew needs their privacy


the connecting doors do have a window, never know who (or what) is on the other side!


my fingers would have been dirtier if i had didnt wash them for dinner earlier


i made a error with a corridor, it doesnt match up with the others... but in a moment of genius (and the wonderful people of WWG) that i can make a corridor and use the end caps to make them line up

thanks denny. when i was done with each corridor, i had to make sure the doors worked... the shhh sound effects were purely "accident"

mostly, i'd like to see the screamers inspired base. post those pics! i have the same issue with trying to convert from pdf to photoshop. let me know how you resolve that
