Another thing you could consider is using these forums to set up a semi-official sort of "WorldWorks Street Team" AKA an unpaid PR staff.

There's defintitely folks on here that would do it. I'm sure some guys would be more'n willing to type up basic press releases for you, seek out forums and zines to plug in, and do a generally good job getting the word out.

Or take it to conventions where you are running games. For a long time, until around the beginning of this year, I was doing sci-fi, but since I've gone back into fantasy, when I run at cons, I'll be taking my minis and WorldWorks dungeon floor plans along.

bruce hirst has 3 booths at gen con this year (of hirstArts), I wonder if you kicked him some completed models, and some cash if he would put them on display for you. Especially if you had a props pack that wouldn't clash with his business, he could populate his display's with your product.

Just a thought, you might want to contact him and see if he'd be intersted. I'm sure he'd want a cut or something, but it would be selling to people you'd likely never get to otherwise so you'd not be missing out on anything really.

Well, I've been doing some experimenting with the product trying different ways of putting it together. Actually, I've been playing with the DungeonWorks Classic set. I took what I had worked on to the local gaming/comic store that I frequent and they were extremely impressed with how it looked. The owner was very interested, and once Denny comes out with the printed version of the product, I might be able to get them to carry it in the store.

That is, if that's the route you'll be taking, Denny. I've been taking pictures of the method I'm using, which once I burn through the rest of the roll of film in the camera, I'll get them developed and posted on my site. Then I'll post a thread here that will be a basic tutorial as to how I'm building the pieces.

The method I am using makes them extremely sturdy and strong, but does increase assembly time and complexity somewhat. Nothing beyond the capibilities of my fellow forum members, but I do think that it makes for a great gaming set. I'm also considering making a few custom pieces and looking at customizing the set somewhat, which once I get done experimenting, I'll take pictures of the new parts I'm modifying and post those as well.

I hope to be done by the weekend of July 17th. Have that Friday and Monday off, so I'll be able to spend a little more time working on the terrain.

Here's another interesting sales tactic that's been used by Fluid Entertainment for the upcoming GenCon... they're offering GMs running events at Gen Con Indy a 60% discount off Dundjinni software if they use the software to create maps for their events!

Sounds like something Denny could do as well, for a lot of visibility with minimal effort.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Graphically, I have no problem grabbing the WWG icon off the site. However, the GamingReport site seems to have different graphic size requirements. If I have to scale it down, it'll look bad.

So, my next step is to investigate the exact size requirements (Mortality, too) and then see if Denny can build an icon that fits. I'd rather WWG supply the icon, rather than modify it myself. It's WWG's image on the line, so Denny should approve the icon. But I can do the research for him.

I havent recieved your e-mail yet but thats more than likely due to the chaos my domain is in at the moment. Everything is in transfer to a new server and my old host seems to be falling apart completely. Hope I get out of there before its too late

Wow, theres nothing more frustrating than trying to transfer a domain while your old host is experiencing a Denial of Service attack. These DOS attacks seem to be a weekly issue with my old host...the millionth reason I'm moving (Sorry for the rant)
