I just found an easy way to keep my terrain from moving, without having to use paperlink or the pro masterboard frame. I just put a towel or similar fabric down on top of my gaming table, held in place with pushpins or weights, and voilà, instant friction! Works great, although a towel may be a little too thick, allowing for movement if the tile is pressed down on.

Heavy felt has been a staple for wargamers for ages. Green felt is a decent stand-in for rolling grassy terrain. For WWG purposes, it also provides a decent grip for velcro, and even without velcro it has enough friction to keep cardstock tiles in place, provided you don't bump the table *too* hard.

Also, don't forget the tricks Denny mentions in the Beginners Guide (I think it's in there - one of the "how-to" guides fer sure): penny weighting for stability and extra weight (so your sets don't just blow away with a gust of wind), putting some rubber cement on the bottom to provide grip on a smooth surface, etc.
