Don't think I've seen a one-line inventory anywhere, but I think this is what a typical customer will be looking for first in a product announcement:

32 floor tiles (7x7", plus some corridors), one 7" dragon, 3 sets of doors, four "pitfall" inserts, and two lava outflow channels

(based on what's in the iMP anyway...)

Waiting to purchase till my ink shows up or I'll get even more antsy. I loved those fly-bys as well. Gives you a much better sense of depth than the photo scan overs. Beautiful work as always, sir!

Just watched the movie - loved it! Esp. the finish with the wash of flame. Will be downloading in but moments and then spend tonight going through my goodiess.

The pseudo 3d walls in the floor tiles are the best I've seen. Not to mention a frigging paper dragon that looks damn near as good as a metal figure. And at a .10% of the cost.

Interesting that you provided a door shape this is generally seen in Scifi type settings...(namely the hexagonal shaped variant) it adds a fresh face to the usual arched wooden doorways in most Fantasy settings.

This set is so poised for some mad kitbashes and add-ons.

Glad to see WWG finally made it's way into this market...

I thought seeing I opened my mouth in the last thread (and was somewhat negative) I though I should put in what I thought here now the product is complete.

Let me first say I have enjoyed very much checking up each day of the process and following the development of this product. It is great the Denny is so active on these forums and gives such frequent updates on product progress. Not a lot of companies do.

What I like:
* The Artwork - looks great enough said.

* The Value - seem to get a fair amount for your money compared to what some competitors are selling for

* The Choice - to have tiles with walls or with out


What I don't like and/or not sure about:

* It seems like a strange choice to have 3" (15 foot) corridors. There is of course no practical reason (in the real or fantasy world) why corridors can't be this size, it just seems to me in most published products they are 10 feet wide (or less comonly 20', or 5' but rarely 15') so if one was looking for using Dungeon LinX in existing adventures it would necessarily be an easy fit. I guess one could trim the corridoors to 2" easily if not using walls but that would need some kit bashing if using perspective walls.

* The size difference brought about by perspective was raised in the last thread. This still concerns me. Had a good look at the IMP to see how they looked.
a) For rooms you could overlap the corridors over the walls, which looks a bit strange on the joining from wall to corridor, but i think looks better then magically jumping an inch through the wall.
b) In the empty lava pits I can't work out how to reconcile so they look right to my brain. The T-intersection shows this best. someone walking along the long edge goes 7 squares. To move the same distance on the opposite side goes only 5 squares unless you count the sides as sloping (three at bottom of pit and one each side. It looks fine at first glance, if one was looking at it as a painting, but as soon as your brain is looking at it in gaming mode (where can my character move? who can get to me?) It starts feeling like an Escher painting.

* still not sure about the Dragon but it is growing on me. It will be interesting to see what people who have actually bought and made it think.

The Conclusion.
An interesting, value for money product. Though it seems like a strange choice to start off a new series, it will probably fit in well with a larger product range. Not what I am looking for the moment (basic generic dugeons) so I am still waiting for Mini-Chunk (Soon Please!!). But is is something I could possibly see myself buying in the future if I had a need for an adventure with lava channels etc. Good luck with the new direction of product Denny.

As someone who "doesn't do Fantasy"
I must say that I am really impressed with what I can see on the videos and the stills...
I like the idea of the 2.5D depending on the camera angle some of those shots (of the floor for example) really looked as if they were 3D complete with steps and all
So Keep up the great work guys... and if you do a Sci-Fi set I'll buy it as soon as I'm gainfully employed again and sort things out.

Just downloaded the set. Textures look fantastic. I've got to buy more ink now so I can find out what they look like "in the flesh".

Great work Denny. Really looking forward to playing something with this. I may have to dig out my Advanced HeroQuest set and give it a go with superior scenery (rather than the cardboardy stuff it comes with).
