I get my supplies from a local stationers/craft shops. The usual is Easons but I don't think they are in the England which is not much help to you.

Try B&Q or Homebase etc for a good stanley knife, I got a good one with a rubber grip for about £6 including spare blades. This is your most important piece of kit so make sure you get something good and replace the blades often. The disposable ones don't last long and can be sore on fingers after prolonged use. A steel rule is also a must as plastic rulers don't last and aluminium rules can be cut with a knife when scoring.

As above you really need a cutting mat rather or at least something to protect the surface your cutting on. Ideally you need something that will stay flat after repeated scoring, card tends to cut up after a short while.

What I would suggest is that you get card around 200gsm ( I use 220gsm) which I buy at £1.99 for 50 sheets. It's slighlty off-white but not noticable and a lot cheaper than the brilliant white laser card. This is much more expensive for no real difference.

I use pentel brush glue (don't know the code but it comes in a small blue plastic bottle and has a strong bond, but can be 'wiggled' around a bit before it sets. I find the pritt gel a little pricey but use it for a really important bond rather than superglue.
