I knew this day was coming and I still haven't made the decision. I allready have oldschool 1.5" CD and have built a fair (not huge) amount of pieces...however I haven't played MKD in about a year and a half. I want this for RPing...but if I start over, what do I do with the old set? ARGH, the decisions!

Except those people who refuse to deal with PayPal.

The Auld Grump, did I mention that that stupid recurring credit card bill showed up twice this past week? I have now set it up with my card carrier that I cannot be billed by them again, they are automatically refused. The last billing occured after I barred them, but before it actually went through.

Bit of an update from PayPal - The error happened because of a bunch of factors.

It can supposedly happen only if:
You use Mastercard

For a certain bank (Key in this case)

And if the computer that actually handles the transaction has not been properly updated. (Which one apparently remains a mystery - this is why it has taken them so long to work on the problem, they have come to the conclusion that it wasn't one of their computers, so there is not a lot that they can do about it.) Part of a patch has been implemented, but not all of it.

They were trying to fix a problem for which my particular difficulties were merely a symptom.

Apparently the computers are on a four (not three) week cycle in regards to updating the accounts - and every time it was updating the account it was sending the same query back to the provider, which would bounce it to Keybank, which in turn would treat it as a new bill. The query to Keybank was not originating at PayPal, but no word on where it was coming from. PayPal was however getting the money.... So Pay Pal would query Mastercard, Mastercard would quey KeyBank, and somewhere along the line it would run back to my account again. CitiBank is in there somewhere as well, since some of the queries that PayPal traced led back to them... I don't even have a Citibank acount!

This time around they just deleted the transaction as far as their accounts are concerned. The extra credit repayment was simply two different people sending me the credit - a hand made error rather than a computer error. They did indeed take it back. Hopefully, since their computer won't be querying Mastercards computers the cycle will be broken.

More on topic to this thread - the payment for MiniChunk seems to have gone through with no problems. So, after my nerves stop jangling I may make a few more purchases from the store. (There is not much, aside from Something Below, that I do not now have. )
