Pandemic "Z"

This thread will contain the running battle of the Survivors and the Walking Dead.

I am using SketchUp as my gaming table and All Things Zombie as the engine. At this point in time I haven't the foggest on how to make 2d Standies in SketchUp, it already has some and so I'm using the silhouetted ones as my Dead and 3D colour figures for the gaming Survivors.
Now at the moment the board is 11 x 6 tiles and is fairly devoid of clutter - at the moment.

The end result is to deliver a very visual battle report. As Mayhem get bigger in textures so I guess will Pandemic "Z"

Last night I ran a game thrught the north western part of the city. The Crew when in for resupplies. I "took" shots of the battle as it progressed saving them in a png. format. Little did I know that the setting had slipped down to pdf.. End result was looking like un-reanded Tron.

So today i will go back and run the shots again. The Event lasted nine turns before the Crew left the city's outskirts. I have made a battle report of the event but have no where to post it. This I will have to work on. A copy is currently siting on the yahoo group for , if you have a yahoo log-in pass feel free to have a look.

I was quite happy with the results and it was fun to play - now all I need to do is to work out how to make better 2d Standies in Sketchup.

The first Zombie's shuffle out of the City that's only know as Mayhem

Breaking and Entering doesn't always pay-off.

I had incorperated these shots into my battlereport. I think it might be time to "break out the dice" and go for round two!

Played it all with in SKU. As for building - no room to store, I can build alright but I would have anywhere to play it or store it.

Playing in SketchUp is quite easy as its all to scale so running rulers around tight alleys is a breeze. I had the building converted to real measures so I just run everyones movements in real terms.

As for getting the libraries... you just need to capture the images (I use 300pdi) then lay them out in photoshop to convert into a jpg. Then float the textures across the surface of the build. Easy! (*cough, cough *bullshit)

I have the buildings and streets on one layer, Street Fluff eg street lights, trash cans etc on another, one more for trees and finally one layer for the minis.

Untill I can get some funky 3d/3d figures I'm going the flats and will make it look like a game.

Fun to do and very glad you liked the pictures (hope you went to the gallery and had a looksee at the full page versions), once I work out how to transport Poser figures into SKU I will become a very happy boy. After that I will have to learn how to run Photoshop a tad better to get some great after effects happening (or con some one on this board to do it for me...)

Next project is to get CastleWorks done correctly and then the harbourMaster (makes a great bookstore cafe by the way) by that time I might have SoH to play with. Once thats done I will be able to mix and match to creat funky old citys in a modern world. Once I get Chunky Dungeon or Mini Chunk I will convert them too.

I cannot post the files simply because I don't want to dilute the dpi, I quite proud of WWG textures and to take them at a lesser version would be like buying crap from a $2 store and feeling that I have gotten a bargin, when infact I have a mass produced knocked off. If Denn or WWG need them, well thats a different story.

Oh by the way you can run SketchUp to show a sheet of paper - printed, then have it fold itself up into the shape you need it ie the build. Would be very funky for instructions!
