.... has reached an important milestone, that of "Exterior Complete".

I promised myself that when I hit this point I would post some photos.

All of my figures are in storage, so the photos don't do justice to the scale. The castle is about 4 ft wide by 3 ft deep. The keep has three stories and when I recover my energy, I will start adding furniture to the interiors. Watch for some more shots.

The model itself was started back in February or so and was the result of about three or four concentrated bursts of energy of about 1 month each, separated by bouts of exhaustion/disinterest. After each feverish period of building, I would carefully store the castle in boxes and lovingly place these boxes in a safe place and each time I took the boxes out of storage, I found I had suffered major warpage and "glue slip" (a term I have coined for when the glue appears to lose grip for 10 secs, allow the model to alarmingly shift configuration and then for the glue to reset as if rock hard - very frustrating and involves major repairs). Still, it's done now and is not going back into storage until I game with it in January.

Anyway, hope you all like it. I am pretty pleased.

You did some beautiful work there Frank. I can't tell you what a thrill it is for me to see CastleWorks Ultimate builds especially when they are this "complete". I love the layout and the overall aesthetic you went for. You've created a castle build that matches the vision I had for what was possible with the set. You've really outdone yourself.

Whenever you sit down to play please take a couple shots "in-game" so that I can highlight them on the front page.

Now that is a big project and the quality of your workmanship on the castle is very impressive. Your castle layout looks to be a great challenge for your gamers to play. It seems like you also have a few Walk Away moments in your project. Never give up. This was definitely worth your time and effort. Inspiring, keep the photo updates coming.
