There is a brand new store that has opened in a 5km radius from my house (this is the second within two years after having none ever) so I popped down to say hi and check it out.

WH40k seems to be the standard line as well as a smattering of RPG's and Fantasy Flights Board games (huge investment there, good going guys!). The other key seller is the Star Wars Mini games as well as D&D and the new star ship star wars game.

This got me thinking that I should do some pieces for the stores' SW games using Mars Station. Now for those that play this game I'm wanting to know what is the avg. game table (size) and how much cover should I be looking at doing?

Of course anything I build will have the WWG business card glued to the underside with the sets name.

So I guess I'm asking for a build list.

the standard map for star wars minis is 22" x 34"(one official map is smaller)

a think to note is, in star wars minis getting a clear shot is very rare, so you'd need a lot of "low objects" such as tables, computer consoles, crates, etc...

and with the huge minis(that doesn't make much sense) you need 3 squares between walls, or people will complain

also, if you're a bit skilled in the ways of the kit bash, and planed a layout in advance you could put the colored lines on the ground for the terrain effects(lime green for low objects, yellow for rough ground, orange for pits, pink for walls and blue boxes for doors, with the center marked slightly, with a little + or something, for the gambit scoring area(gambit is a way of playing star wars minis, you get 5 points for every round you have a minis in the area, plus the value of any mini you kill, first the the build total of each players squad wins)


yeah, i play star wars minis a bit, and run a non-official project for custom minis, which is my main reason for building any WWG stuff
