There's just so much I wanna do.................... damn this internet connection, this is one of only 2 forums that I can access at the moment, and downloading anything just ain't happening............. need to poke those repair-blokes in Taiwan to work harder.

Ok smartie, what time frame should we see Mayhem Subway? Has it been started or are you working of knowledge from the "other" set that has yet to be released?

I like the term Undergound - Mayhem Underground sounds so much better. Mayhem Subway - sounds like a sponsor from a foodchain.

Underground is the English system, isn't Subway the US term?

My guess, from everything that I've read over time on the forums, is that Himmelveil will be a multilevel design incorporating streets and everything below them. I'd imagine you'd build support blocks, with the underground feature built into it, and place the street tile on top of it. This way you can have streets with or without something underneath it. For the areas with nothing underneath there will probably be riser tiles. If you were to glue four Caveworks pillars to the corners of a 7 x 7 foam tile you could get a similar effect.

Mayhem Underground also give the impression of more than trains ie. the miles of dark dank tunnels containing horror that should never see the light of day!

Would be fun to have a Contest/entry of graffiti that reflects the "Underground" in all its forms - me I would love to see Cthulhu art scrawled upon the walls by maddened disciples slowly loosing the battle for their humanity.

I got the newsletter... but for me the formatting was strange... every paragraph was seperated by double spacing, so there are three blank lines between each paragraph.

As for Mayhem Underground (I much prefer that name too) I don't want to start thinking about that just yet. I need to savour the moment of a new release before getting giddy over another one

Just need to get Streets of Mayhem first

Just picked up Mayhem Rail. Very very cool! This is an ideal set for me because it has a good amount of content for the price and is fairly easy to build. I like a model set that I can get out on the table quickly. Now that the groundwork has been laid for Mayhem its fun to see these new smaller add-ons. Great job guys!

If Himmelveil follows a similar model then I think we're all in for something special.

Looking at the product page for Mayhem Rail, I have another suggestion to improve secondary sales. Right now, the "strongly recommended" image for Streets of Mayhem uses this image:



However, that doesn't actually show any rails clearly, so people might wonder why they would need it, and never actually click on it. I know the elevated rails are in the background, but it is hard to see, and if you didn't know it was there, you might not think to look. My suggestion would be to swap out that image and use one of these two:

Hmm, and looking at that image gives me an idea for a kitbash. When I am able to print again, I will try to do an elevated station, like those in Chicago. Should be too hard using the overpass steps as a starting point to get up to the platform...

My initial thoughts on raising the platform will involve using the same frame for a straight piece of raised track, but taking down the rail at the top, and adding the station. I'll figure it out in more detail when I'm not getting angry glares for being on here when I'm supposed to be packing

I look forward to seeing what you come up with, especially if you manage to get it done before me, so I can steal your ideas
