Much higher than it was, and I would have to re-consider a few orders to some UK figure manufacturers I am planning.
Every UK manufacturer should have an American/Canadian partner to take care of business on this side of the Pond.
Foreign currency exchange rates are just too brutal and disuade North americans from buying items from the other side of the Pond.

Either an American/Canadian partner or a North American customer should have the choice to pay via the currency with the lowest exchange rate - Euros or Pounds.
Euros are only at 1.3642.
What a savings we could experience if we could pay at the lower exchange rate, plus the manufacturers would be out really nothing much.
Oh well, pipedreams never come true.

I was able to get a few eBay sellers to do this for me back when the Euro was beating the heck out of both the Pound and the Dollar.
One can only dream that a manufacturer would do the same.

You think the exchange rate is bad for purchasing miniatures!!

I'm living in England with a U.S. bank account!! I sold my house to move over here and basicly ended up at zero due to the 1.98 to 1 ratio!

And what really busts my chops is I went into a well known bookstore to see what they had for sci-fi books (I'm tired of fantasy books they are all cookie cutter now days). the book had the $7.99 USD, (8.99 for canada) and they are asking £7.99 for it!!! Hello Amazon.co.uk I'm never going to that book store again.

Although I must say stuff such as food is better quality and better priced here in the UK then the USA.

I'm heading back to the states for a month in March I'm going to stock up on clothing and shoes for the kids as well.

@ Highland Piper - I feel your pain. I'm from England originally and moved to the US about 5 years ago. The day before I was due to change up all my money into US Dollars, Tony Blair made some public speech about how the UK was fully behind the Euro... which prompted the exchange rate to plummet. I lost a whole lot of cash that day. I just did a historical search and the exchanget rate that day, from pounds sterling to US Dollars was 1.4279... and it's currently 1.95040.

I used to love visiting the US with a half empty suitcase, and filling it with books and collectables.

@ Denny - Since you are leaving us to decide whether you made a mistake or there is a conspiracy with a secret hidden image... I'm going to go with the latter.

Oh, and no pressure, but there is a great gift giving occassion in only a few days time if you happen to release this set by then. Nothing says "I love you" like a creepy, haunted, blood splattered manor house At least, that's what Bongo told me...

Atcually a pool table wouldn't be a hard kitbash - using Google Image to get the markings right then use textures from some of the wooden buildings eg Harbor Master.

Heh, well it's all self serving really. I tried numerous times in the past to get a good pool table but wasn't happy with any of the results I came up with. I wanted a nice wood grain on the edge, a felt looking table finish, potted balls visible through the side window etc. Once that is complete, I want to mess it up and create something I've been wanted for many years... a shuggy table!

Eventually, I want to have a Shuggy Hall for my table, with a bar, neon signs, etc. So many projects, so little time.

What is Shuggy? Basically, it's a cross between pool (billiards) and golf
There really isn't much info on it around the interweb though... same as a lot of Judge Dredd material.

EDIT: Found a small image of the Judge Dredd CCG card displaying Shuggy. Really hard to see, but it's the only image I can track down.



BTW, sorry to hi-jack the thread... bring on the manor!

Can't wait to get this and start building for the convention (may also need a Maiden methinks to grab even more attention)!!!

Now to assemble and paint up those Heresy Lurkers and Ghouls and the Ghoul King........ and order loads of Heresy Dark Brethren and their pet Slugs!!!!

Now, how to make this into a "Shaintar" locale for Savage Worlds???????
