I think you'll find Urban Mayhem to be perfect. Its easily my favorite WWG line. Its simple to build and you can churn out some really big layouts. Streets and Bits should take care of all your needs as a Clix player. I would also consider BoM Downtown. It has some much nicer flats.
I would wait on Rail until after you get a basic layout complete, then you can do filler, which is pretty much what Rail is.

As for another game - take a serious look at Its the only reason I kept and re-based my Heroclix.

Heh, I knew the naming convention would cause problems at times.

The full titles of the modern releases are:

- (Also called Urban Mayhem: Streets of Mayhem or just UM)
This provides all your roads, rail tiles, rail bridges and a pedestrian bridge.

- (Also called BOM)
This provides vehicles, a garage, basketball court with mesh fences, and flats. A very good way to start your buildings.

- (Also called Bits of Mayhem: Downtown)
Provides various designs for more building flats which really adds variety to your layout.

- Mayhem Armory, Mayhem Industrial and Mayhem Rail all add themed addons. They are all well worth getting, but initially you only need the above three to build a nice cityscape.

Just wanted to chime in here and sugest you look at the Kitbash section, there are some nice little add on that can (mostly) be built with just a little investment of time and can really help flesh out your city scape. I would recommend the pedestrian overpass mod, street signs, overpass, and motorcycles.

okay, and last question..for now at least...

i just printed a page on my card stock and it looks great (color laser)....but im worried about the margins. do i need to make sure it doesnt fit to the margins at all? how much space should be between the graphic itself and the edge of the page?

Platform Command might also work well for you, I finally got around to buying it a couple of weeks ago. (I sat down to print and build some Shellendrak, somehow PCom came out instead. Fast build though. )

Many use regular exactos #11 blades and go thru them fairly quick. I change a blade at the first sign of dulling.

Some like Aleph use that nifty snap off blade. Which makes for a very sharp edge. Note most of your snapoffblades for 2 bucks or so suck. So if you go this route, I suggest you try and find the one he uses.

As far as glue there is a definative glue thread. I personally am still a hardcore user of elmers white glue. Used carefully its works well, but I must admit it does take a gentle hand to really use it without making a mess.

For the streetlamps and such if you don't want to glue them directly to the street tile you can glue them to pennies, washers and other small metal bits. This would give them the weight to stand up fairly steady on their own (and a good flat base surface) but may not be enough if the table gets bumbed around too much. Also of note is that they will stand up just a hair so it will not look quite as good as if you did glue it directly down.

No problem, as for your knifes all I can sugest is to look at this thread: . I am not the only person you'll find that will swear by a good stanley brand utility knife, and since you can get them at your local hardware store for as little as $5 they are well worth the investment. Blades come in packs and (for me at least) last generally twice as long as a #11 Xacto blade.

Bits Of mayhem has almost a whole page o' round grey sidewalk tokens that are just the right size to glue on top of pennies... a little grey paint on the edges and there is no coin look at all, and best of all they only cost a penny each. not that I would ever recommend defacing currency, which is against the law.
