Grats on pulling this together.

It's unfortunate that you went with a very dark look, black background, white text. If it had been a lighter background I could see people printing it out to take to store demos and conventions. I could build a lot of buildings for that amount of ink! It's an okay format, but somehow falls shorter than the design we are used to seeing from WWG. Not sure it makes a great first impression... but that could just be me.

Also, you might want to include a link to the PDF from the "Shop Catalog"link on the WWG homepage.

What's interesting is all the people saying that they can't print the catalogue because of all the ink it'll use. My question is this: Who's planning on printing this thing out? I know I'm not (my job at FedEx Kinko's notwithstanding). I know geek shops probably will, but they would rather have the flashy pictures and rich background color because that will attract customer attention.

For the few gamers who are planning on printing one out to show their friends or bring to cons, just copy and past the text into Notepad and print that.

Well, I'll be printing out a couple of copies.

One for me to use when I run demos at shops or conventions.......

And one FOC for the local Games Shop.

Several people have already mentioned the pros (and cons) of adding the kitbashes to the catalog but there are two smaller points I wanted to make.

1- All Kitbashes do not need to be in the catalog. Just pick a handful of the best from each genre. This would eliminate the need to go through the hundreds of kitbashes and adding them all while still giving people who are sitting the fence something to experiment with for less than five dollars.

2- Freebie expansions. While I can only think of one set that has a free expansion item (gothic realms) these would be great items to include and could remove the need to actually have any kitbash listed in the catalog. One, maybe two items for each genre would be plenty and just have a nice piccy with some sort of caption to catch a person's attention near the parent set. Of course this would require someone to go back and make up a few demo models for some of the sets (but I don't think anyone here would complain about that ). I'm sure several people could provide some good ideas for demo models too. Generally speaking people are more willing to by an item if they can get a sample first, especially when its a free sample.

I assume the WWG crew will enlighten the TMP audience with a formal announcement, so I'll leave that one to them.

I think tying up the future edition of the catalogue (that black space that you have left over, or maybe a back cover type of thing) should have a picture of Denny and some quick words of encouragement/mission statement telling people that you're glad they took a gander at the catalogue. That we'll be more than happy to have a few more constructable terrain geeks in our group on the forums and such.

I've been long thinking about an online magazine type thing for something else I worked on. I would be interested to see if anyone would be able to pull it off, and if WWGs would be willing to be part of the experiment.

The Denny Intro is a good idea. Also, maybe a section with pictures of build possibilities could be added, really showing off what can be done with the sets. There are a number of suitable pictures for these in the WWG Gallery.

Online Magazine? Something like the "Shark Bytes" one for Savage Worlds? I think Infinity also has something similar. Good idea. A bi-monthly or quarterly pdf for free download that consists of Staff articles and also submitted articles from guys like us? New product reviews, layout ideas, battle reports, scenario ideas, interviews etc etc etc.
