One piece of constructive criticism is to edge your models with a pen. For CWU, a dark gray or black works wonders. (And I've found its best to edge before you glue, not after.) You'll be amazed at how much better the models look with edging - especially if you're going to use them with other types of models like you mentioned in the blog.

Edit: Oops, looking back, it looks like you edged the finished product. It was really noticeable on early shots, so it must have stood out. Still, you might try edging before you glue and see how that works out.

Yup, I took those photos in various stages of assembly, and in many of them I hadn't edged yet. I admit to being a fairly sloppy edger as well - my felt tip strays sometimes. I'm getting better at it - started using one of the felt tips that has a wedged shaped business end, and using the flat rather than the point to edge is reducing my accidents...

I'm also kind of rushing through the kit willy nilly trying all the various pieces at this point. (kid in candy shop). I'll be shifting to trying to get a modular layout planned and working on a finished look for the pieces on my gaming table soon, which will include some non cardstock decorating.

I'm not doing the full assembly - it will ultimately be part of a ruined castle in Mordheim, so I want a bit different feel for it than the standard build.
