This situation is mentioned in a couple of the threads dealing with color laser printers. I'm not sure if it was ever fully answered, but one possible answer was to use the compression scoring method instead of scoring with a knife. Even light scoring with the knife cuts that layer of color toner, and it peals off then. I use a Toshiba color copier at work, and have had no problems with this issue yet. May be an issue with the type of toner or temperature in the machine or something.

Problem resolved:

I took the pages back to the printer i had used and ran them thru it several times without actually printing anything so the toner could go thru the fuser several times getting a good long-lasting bond.

I made a word document and held the enter key for a 100 pg blank document, put my cardstock in, ran it thru, reloaded it into the paper-try, ran it thru again till i had a good bond

i am happy i figured it out i printed all of 'something below' and a TON of 'caveworks'... enough caveworks to build the entire 'something below' dungeon and then more to fill out the 'recommended' in caveworks instructions.... thats alotta paper to just waste.
also happy i discovered the color printer available to students. what it means to me: no more buying ink, high quality laser prints as it is one of those huge office printers

Glad you found a solution. One other thing to look at is 80lb glossy cover stock. I used that on a lot of my original builds (had a friend who is a short run printer that I did work for trade with), and he printed all my on glossy (or semi-gloss, not sure which) 80lb cover stock - and I never had issue with the flaking. And, its a little sturdier than 110lb cardstock.
