This is a very simple layout: (pics are a bit large)

The setting was an abandoned airstrip in the Yucatan, it wasnt abandoned long though.

A rescue LAV (low altitude vehicle) carried some unexpected security agents, and a few rebels approach from the Southeast via pick-up.


In game shots were nil as I forgot my camera, so this is a mockup based on the approximate goings on at the heat of the confrontation.

I'm not sure if the standees are better than unpainted minis or not, meh.


Below is a front on shot showing the general layout.
Dirt transition tiles make the abandoned strip. Marsh transition tiles show, well a small marshy area with parts/ trash rusting away. I also bashed the UM: Industrial warehouse to be my hanger. Pitched roof and huge sliding doors. yes they do slide.



Overall seen of the havoc in process. You can't here it here but nearly everyone was firing or casting spells and at this point everyone was getting some. Serious Cluster F on the players parts as they decided to shoot both the security guards, the rebels and the fixers guards (who just negotiated a ride for them.) Meanwhile everyone is also shooting everyone else as well. And the transport is currently blowing the joint.



Luckily for everyone nearly everything on site had been bullet riddled already. Especially good since the team mage decided to drop a fireball on the empty propane tank.



Overall shot from above (sans photoshop trees). Railroad model trees on islands seem to work to imply tree coverage, even when I didn't have enough to make a true forest.

Oh so sweet!!! Giving me more ideas and plans for games now..... as if I didn't have enough to do already!!!

Gonna have to get me those Dirt Tiles.

Is the LAV (Chickenhawk) missing its engines???

And I love the aircraft model in the hanger. Could definitely use some of those. Where did that kit come from. It is card isn't it??

I love it. That is a ery cool set up and I had never imagined using Mayhem like this before. The hanger kitbash is great... can we get a close-up of the sliding doors?

I hadn't thought of a need for your transition tiles before now, but using the dirt tiles for an airstrip is inspired. Thanks for helping give me more ideas that I can process

I really like the tree surround... although I realize it's only done in photoshop. I can't help wondering how it might work to do something like that printed for a game... would people still be able to get at all the minis without destroying things?

For the tree surround, I think it would work better as a display piece, on a stall at a convention... but not great in play. Maybe oneday I'll give it a try.
