Do you have a macro function on your camera, it would look like a little tulip flower, that's what you need to take really clear pics of small things.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the work involved, just doing the step by step for the VW interiors gave my a whole new found respect for the WWG boys and all that they do.

I'm using a pic with a little triangle piece of foam core on the brace.

I tinkered with the braces for a couple hours today and then ran of a test print. I had the original GIMP ones on the same page. When I assembled them I noticed that the original ones where coming out as good as the new ones. Which leads me to the conclusion that the layout is alright, but that I I wasn't scoring them carefully enough. The small size means that being on different sides of the line is noticable.

Once edged it would disappear, but it keeps making me think I need to play with them some more. Theres one or two I'm going to adjust, but I think I'll do another test print before changing the others.

I've also realised I'm going to have to print up some new walls see how the patterns line up when glued in place. This will be helpful for taking photos too. Its hard to take a pic of the tabs glued on to the walls, the oppisit wall keeps getting in the shot. However when I print the new walls I'll just hold off connecting the sections. I can glue a tab in the corner of each piece and take a picture and there will be no oppisit wall to get in the way.

On another note, I finally used my village for the first time in a game.

Sounds great, it'll be a big help to loads of people I would expect.

I've contacted Aubrey to see how I should submit them. It'll be a single bundle, and there will be 4 copies of each brace to a page with 2 or 3 different brace design per page.

I've done the design for P&I, and I've nearly finished the C&K one 3 times. But GIMP keeps freezing on me. Accually I think I found a more precise way to make them. But I still need to do a test print to check the results.

I had also considered doing some for the CWU building. But the square tower one already matched the stone building, and the plaster building has enough stone showing through the crumbling plaster that the brace fits in there as well.

Anyone have tips on how to make a good photo for the website? I also don't know how to make it the correct scale and resolution.

I'm just on to doing some VillageWorks building and, what with Bruenor's instructions and your braces, it is going to be a much better build

I got a responce to my questions. So after a minor last minute change I've sent it in.

Now to catch up with some building. I got the 2 interiorworks sets to makea more complete kitbash. So now I also have the props I need to finish my village. And I need to finally get arround to making the interior rooms in my manor.

Can't wait for the KB to be released I'll be able to go over the ones I've used so they blend in more.

Well it was your instructions that got the ball rolling. I hadn't even bought villageworks before reading your post. But being able to have interiors made the village much more appealing for me.

And your inn build made me realise that the interior works sets could be useful in villageworks for additional wall textures not just props.

Even having the corner braces stick out was helpful. At the time I hadn't even realised there was a varition on the ones included with CWU. And I've always disliked having to notch those corners, but I never came up with a better method.

The edge of your cutting mat does indeed look like the layout on Sketchup.

I think its that think darke line along the edge of the tabs. Its just the edging but it really looks like a straight line in SKU.

Those dollar store 20 packs of markers really edged well without bleeding didn't they. If only the ink didn't run out so quick. If only they still had them in stock.

Were I doing this today I would probably use foamcore on the walls too and I'd definitely have it fill in the whole space between the rafter supports.
