Damn, Message Boards are getting rough! First, I get three days in the "Cooler" for posting on the wrong forum at TMP, then, some irate FSU fan says he's gonna "cap my -ss with a "nine" when he sees me on the skreet" (whatever that means. Maybe I shouldn't have told him here my Season Tickets seats were ) on the Hurricane forums, now, people are wishing that I "Burn in 'ell" for using scissors to cut out props!

Well, guys, if I didn't use scissors, I couldn't cut props and post messages here at the same time (and you would be bereft of all my wisdom, lore and anectdotes ) and, being an old IPMS armor modeller from way back, I have been using scissors to cut sheet brass, sheet aluminum, and styrene and such for maybe 20 years, so I know what I'm doing!!!!!!


If talking up scissors is my worst sin on this board (its certainly not! At least I'm honest), then cast the first, er Second Stone (Ccotd had the first throw)!!!!!

So, CCotd (if that IS your real name), I'll see you in 'ell!!!!!

Denny, do you get Muskies and Pike up in your parts (I know you get steelhead)? When you said "Ice cutting" I thought of fish! BTW, I did watch "Slapshot" today, so I did my part for Canada Day!

I'm sorry, why is it called Football anyways? How many times do they use their feet?

Not a single one of theme could run non-stop for 90 minutes. Yup the locals have turned me into a real Football fan. You know, the game played on every continent in the world.

Also I use SCISSORS! HA HA HA and I don't care what you say! I only use a knife on a straight cut like master boards. Building dungeons I use a scissors. Its much easier and faster.

Those who can not cut in a straight line with a scissors need to lay off the sauce!

I'm gaining a whole new level of respect for CCotD and Highland Piper here. I don't really care about sports much, but something bug the *BLEEP* out of me.

Football - It's play with your feet. I refuse to call is Soccer. American's do not play football, they play the poorly named American Football. Two words in the name of the sport, and it's largely played with hands and shoulderpads. If you are going to have armor, at least put spikes on it and call the game Blood Bowl

Rugby - It's American Football for real men, who don't need armor, or steroids, and are actually athletic.

Also, look at Baseball. I've been to two games now and it's incredibly boring to attend. Noone actually watching the game since the guys sit around doing nothing for most of the time. But, since it is only played in the US, it is the World Series. In England, girls play the game and it's called Rounders.

That's all. I'm done with sports for now.

Agreed that cricket is pretty boring to watch. When I grew up, cricket was played in whites, with a little shin padding (trust me, you need it), and was quite fun to play... though just as boring to watch. I saw an image the other day of what they are wearing now and some of them are in bright colors, but a lot of them wear a big helmet:



I can understand it as there were a lot of injuries at school through cricket, rugby, hockey and football. I actually broke a hockey stick over someones legs when at school and got in serious trouble for it. The stick was really old and fragile, and I didn't hit his shins that hard... but I took out their best player. He was limping a little, but nothing serious. However, the sight of a broken hockey stick made him howl with pain and everyone thought I had gone psycho. *sigh*

Basketball and volleyball had sprained ankle injuries, but I never saw any injuries though tennis though. I used to enjor Badmington more than tennis.

Anyway, getting back on track, basketball is a very energetic game. I wasn't any good at it, but it's amazing seeing people both jump that high, and be that accurate with tossing a ball.
