Car ain't bad either! Though I must throw my vote for the best looking car to the old Aston Martin V8, DB4 and DB6 or the Austin Healey 3000........ The Morgan is truely sweet but can't beat the Aston or Healey IMHO!!

As far as the coolest looking car in the world your selections are worthy but I must present a car that captured my heart from the moment I saw one. Ladies and gentlemen I present the car of the future....today.

I like the 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. I used to own a 1963 Mercury Meteor. My wife used to call it the Granny Car!
This was my project car that I bought when I had one child. Then three more came and it had to take the back burner then I had to sell it when I moved to the UK. Very popular in Canada, they where made in Canada, all the fan clubs for the Meteor are in Canada and all the hard to find parts like that headlight ring are in Canada.

Man, I'm 41 and I don't even have a drivers' license, so I'm jealous of even the guys who drive beat-up muffler-impaired SAABs around my neighborhood.

I have owned 4 vehicles to-date in my lifetime, and not one of them has been new.

I think the most I've ever spent on a single vehicle (at least, at time of purchase...we're not talking lifetime maint here) is $2250. That's for our '95 Voyager van.

This is my car, which was my first new car - a 2005 Saturn Ion Redline. 206 hp, supercharger, and suicide doors. I likes it.

In regards to antique cars my lust is reserved for the Duesenberg SJ (or Doozie) -


When designing the SJ Duesenberg asked only two questions - what production automobile has the most horsepower, and how many HP is that?

Then he doubled it.
Then he added a supercharger.
In its time the Doozie was a monster. Some still consider it the finest car ever built.

I also rather like the 1909 Battleship - a car that I can find no photographic evidence with which to entertain. It was the first four wheel drive vehicle.

Wow, thats quite a list of cars, Paul. The main thing, however, is that you now have a new one and a good warranty. That is going to save you a bundle!

I have a '99 Mercury Sable sitting under the car port. I don't drive it much. The thing has awfull blind spots. Worst car we had ever owned.

I agree with Paul here Sacretis, you're too young to have a Beemer, even a used one!

Anyway, the first new car that I bought was my wife's. I did finally buy a new car for myself, a 2003 Dodge Neon RT, but some woman in an SUV failed to yield the right of way June 2006 and totaled my then excellent condition Neon, so now I'm driving a used Ford.

I was lucky enough to buy my son a Harley 2005 Sportster Custom, which when I took it away from him for not following the rules, my wife decided to let me ride it! Before I had bought him the bike, she wasn't going to ever let me have a motorcycle, but after he had it for about 6 months, she decided that I'd be able to get one eventually.

Although he disappointed me by not following the rules, I now have my Harley!
