Hey, I'm looking to do a asian city-scape display for an event at the end of the month. So, I finally have an excuse to buy more modern sets! As you can see from my profile, I've picked up SoM, BoM, and BoM:D, as well as the fire-escape kit-bash. This is going to be pretty loose, so mainly I'm looking for buildings and trim that'll sell it as an asian city.

Anyone have any links to cardstock Asian buildings? Pagodas, temples? Ideas for where to get building signs and stuff?

Kinda hard to respond to that and still keep in line with the forum rules, but if you take a look on RPGnow.com under the 3D accessories, you will find an asian temple there. Would need some adapting, but it's the best I've seen so far.

Arabin

You can google for signs. You might see about googling pictures of Chinese cities, and also shots from the TV show Firefly. Firefly is a good example of modern/future cities with an Asiant bent, but still looking western, too.

WWG doesn't have anything with a strong Asian flavor, but Arabin is right - there is a temple available at RPGNow, if you look.

For making your own signs I recommend a combination of these two sites (I use them a lot making props for Serenity games):



which can then be exported to:



...to make different sizes and styles of signs. You will, of course, need to install a Chinese character font to see the results! Have fun with them and let us see the pictures of whatever you make.

Hey Morgenes! I was looking for the same sorta thing and was thinking of bashing some asian roofs to go with Villageworks. I think that would be all that's needed to make some narrow Shanghai streets!
