I've recently bought a swag of WWG products and I'm in the midst of sorting through the products and the models they contain. I was wondering whether any of the community members have taught their children the art of cardstock modeling? If so, which models from which products were most suitable as starting points? My daughter is 9 and she is very keen to give it a try.

I've never had any kids make anything. But the vast majority of the interiorworks pieces are very simple and very quick. And those sets are ones kids might like to play with anyway.

I started my kids on edging - they do a lot of my edging, except for the bits that will show if you slip. My son in particular (age 7) is getting to be quite a master at edging anything that can be edged from the back.

As for builds, I've started them on CastleWorks Classic - I cut out the crenelations and gates; but apart from that, they can get big results with just a few straight cuts and scores, and a bit of gluing.

I'm thinking of moving them onto the basic CaveWorks walls - I can score them up (which means they'll line up properly when folded and glued) and they can cut, glue and edge. They'll have a bit of fun with the uneven top edges, but they look fine if the cut doesn't match the original line.
