Hi,

I've squeezed 150 gsm cardstock through my laser printer and, coward that it is, it groans under the strain. I happen to be in the position professionally where I have access to the facilities of a print shop. The beginners guide recommends using the heaviest weight available. Is their a maximum practical weight for WW models? Is 300 gsm "better" than 150 gsm? Can anyone recommend a particular weight?

110 lbs cardstock is the usual type we recommend but yo umay want to go up to 80 lbs COVERstock.

I've used 300 gsm in my EPSON STYLUS D78. I had to feed it through the printer during the entire process. Very sturdy but when you fold it, it cracks. Best to use it on stuff that you don't have to fold, only cut.

Also it's so thick that if you make a CWU building it will come out short due to the thickness working against the model. Sorry its morning and I don't do mornings or thinking during mornings well.



look at the Village Works building (wood and stucco) you can see the large white 'cracks' on the corners. That buiding is 300 gsm. Of course that is the only brand of 300 gsm paper that I have used so there may be better products out there.

I like 200 gsm myself.
