OK, so I have invested in some stuff to show my Fiance the Star Wars Miniatures game. And of course we do not play on maps. So here are some pictures of my first board. This one is just a slab of foamcore with ground tiles on both sides, grassiness on one side and CoaveWorks on the other (because I had both printed from another project )












Nothing too too special about this except the ground-implanted machinery in the last picture that I 'bashed out of the Wormhole freebies. These are the first Mras Station buildings that I have been happy enough with to actually keep; I have been working with that kit for three years now and I am finally getting the hang of it!

Looks like a Vaporator this way.

Are you running the WotC rules, or a different rules set, if it is WotC that poor Mandy is going to get shot to bits before he closes.

I have considered doing one of the "official" maps in 3D, but just never gotten arount to it.

When I see the first game board I cannot avoid think about Endor... You might do a game board on it.

We are using the WOTC rules. Those are easy enough for a beginner to learn (her only other TTG experience was playing HeroClix with me once.) We played a game last night on it last night; Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala, and a Naboo Soldier against a gaggle of Battledroids. We also threw the Endor Bunker on there for some more cover... the Battledroids were hopelessly outclassed, the game was over in four turns.

The flip side is indeed going to be Endor, I already have built the Bunker, and I just need to figure out what I want to do with the trees and construction shall begin. Right now, wallpapering some toilet tissue tubes with a green cap is sounding pretty good...
