This is in Off Topic Jibberjabber rather than Kitbashing because it is about kitbashing itself rather than a particular kitbash.

Why is kitbashing so important to folks here that those who do not want to and/or have no skills in that arena have to be criticized, demeaned and ridiculed here?
I have explained to people my situation regarding kitbashing several times and all that happens is that negativity is heaped upon me and in the end Andorax has to step in with the full authority he has on this forum.
On two particular threads on which I expressed particular gaming terrain desires and/or needs, some persons have suggested, while others have gone so far as insisted that I kitbash to get my gaming needs met.
This is despite the fact that I have very publically stated point-blank on multiple ocassions that I have not the program, talent, wallet and time to kitbash.
Every time, others here have stated that, that particular position is to be considered completely wrong-minded in a WWG customer in terms that were nothing short of unnecessary personal attacks that Andorax has had no choice but to lock the threads up due to these attacks.
Actually, I cannot find any other threads other than the ones where I was attacked that have been locked up.

Does being a WWG customer require being a kitbasher as well?
If so, there should be a disclaimer on all WWG product.

If one cannot ask for a change in a set without fear of being attacked, where is the worth of this forum for any party?
I know like with the Cathedral, a group asked for the changes and it happened.
Do I have to backroom politic for changes I see the need for before posting?
Why would I have to do so when one of the main purposes of a WEB forum is to just that without fear of reprisal?

I do not see why I need to be attacked on this forum for NOT being a kitbasher and/or for forthrightly saying so.

I ask WWG, "Do you have to be a kitbasher to qualify to buy or use your product?"
If no, then there needs to be some protections put in place on this forum for folks here who say, Thank you, but no." when it comes to kitbashing.

I am quite willing to pay for what can be useful for my gaming here with WWG.
Last Spring, Andorax made the case to own the Mayhem series because there was something in every set that could meet my gaming needs.
As the result, just a couple weeks back, I bought all eight sets.
I plan to buy all of the existing kit bashes that will help as well.

For those of you that are kitbashing wizards, just go ahead & do what you or the others told me to kitbash and I will buy those from Denny & Co. as well.

Please stop attacking me for my "Thank you, but no." replies.

I posted that GIMP was free because one of your objections to kitbashing was program cost. I apologize if that was perceived as a personal attack. It was certainly not meant as one, merely as a way of overcoming an obstacle. I can use GIMP to crop photos and adjust colors only, so kitbashing is beyond me as well. Maybe at some point in the mythical future when I have more time...(sigh). Good luck on your quest, sir.

Med-bots, computers, glowing bits, and random bio-bits.

Especially the med-bot. No mad scientist could skip that.

Maybe kitbash the service pod into some kind of setup for working with hazardous materials.

I am sure though that you could see some that were just not going to take, "Thank you, but no.", for a valid answer though.
Those were the ones that I saw as attacking me.
BTW, thank you for the mention of the free software which would solve the wallet part of the problem.
Now, I just need you to solve the time, ability and inclination parts of it as well.
I know, a beyond Herculean task, but I thank you for the referral anyway.

ScrubKai, you make many valid points that I have found some here just do not accept as valid.
Too many folks here think if you have time to play, you have time to bash.
Oh, that I had as much leasure time as they.
Plus, on top of the time, the skill package to do kitbashing.
Any one that is good at something, if they are not sensitive to others, can make an ass of themselves when expressing their disbelief that everyone else in the world cannot do something they find easy thanks to time and experience.
Just some are little more prone to do this than others.

We are not selfish ScrubKai; we are simply representative of a completely different type of WWG customer.
We overlap as far as the Manor at least; did you pick up the Manor expansion as well?
I did.
Anyway, I think that WWG can take care of both types of customer with just a little bit of planning and discipline.
About the same amount of planning and discipline it takes for any business to maintain a healthy product profile.

You seem to allow every posting of mine to send you into the boughs.
Granted, and I appreciate this, you seem to be able to somewhat control your response, but I am very sorry to say, not enough.
Everything you are feeling may not be actually typed into the responses, but your feelings are most certainly expressed.
It is those feelings that convey the animosity you do feel which of course will be seen as an attack by I the recipient.

The funny thing here Greasius is that I have never started any of those threads that have been locked down; others members have and I have supported the points they were making.
Meanwhile other members beyond those thread starters have seen fit to attack me for my support of those folks.
Odd thing though Greasius, never have the thread starters ever attacked me in their threads or anywhere else on these forums.
Makes one think, does it not?
Maybe not every one has the same way to perceive as those who have decided to perceive me as an adversary, yes?

My postings are not aggressive Greasius; they are simply honest and forthright.
I have been told by several people that I would not get the same response if my "readers" were present in person.
Interestingly enough, I have only had these sort of problems on only three of the several forums I am/have been a member of, and they are not even any political forums.
I think that is quite curious especially with how the climate that can be on a science or political forum.

As to reviewing my postings, I do far more often than not Greasius.
This question for introspection begs to be asked here: if you take such offense at what is posted, dream how inflamed you would be if they were uneditted?!?

Shadegate, I am not getting worked up about people suggesting I kitbash; I get offended by those who insist I should, who say I am not to bother WWG staff with what I would like to see WWG produce and who then attack me personally for my "Thank you, but no." responses.
A huge difference in my view shadegate of what is going on than yours evidently.
Would you not agree shadegate that it is improper to attack someone simply because your suggestion does not fit into their lives and they simply said so?

In DR999's defense AuldGump, might he be able to kitbash a mad scientist's lab that might be just the perfect thing for those who play the sort of games he does?
That way it is not some much a hodge-podge of items from a variety of sources that may not all flow together as well as a unified kitbash.
