So, now that I have a steady income again, I am getting a new printer. I have decided on . I really liked my iP3000 and it lasted me about 5 years or so. I can't use my left over ink cartridges from the 3000 but the replacement ink tanks are just as cheap on eBay...and of course it comes with full ones off the bat. Any comments on this printer appreciated.

Hmmm...I almost bought that one today until I saw the stoopid deals Walmart had on discontinued Lexmarks. 40 bucks!

While that is a great price and VERY tempting I just can't do it. One, Lexmark uses a single color cart. Two, my last Lexmark was a HUGE POS. Three, its Wal-Mart. That said, for the price, its almost worth the price to buy it and toss when done...but I couldn't do that either. How much are new carts?

Have you gone into Fry's and poked around? I go to the one in Renton. I have a Canon MP830 that uses individual ink cartridges and at one point Fry's was selling refurbished printers for around $100 or less, if I recall... plus you may find some other deal in the store (not online, their sites sucks nuts).

Don't I know it. I'm like a kid in a candy store at that place. Built my friends computer from there. Surprisingly, their prices are not that much more than NewEgg. 10% more at most, I would say. Sales tax sucks, though, but then again shipping isn't always free.

WOAH! Went their last night and got the for $108 after tax! Thats less than Newegg BEFORE shipping! Not a refurb or anything. Just a really good in store special. They also had the Pixma iP3500 for $15 after rebate! Almost worth it just for the ink.
