I just received delivery of about two dozen sheets of white foamcore. Mind you, these are about 3 feet by 4 feet in size.

And I was told there's plenty more where that came from, just ask away.

Wonder how much of a spike the foamcore makers have seen in sales since we paper-modelers discovered it...

I figure the Scrapbookers are the lions share of that market. They have made it easier to find some stuff.

I just got a dozen sheets of black foamcore. Haven't even opened it yet, still waiting on a new printer...

If there's anyone in the Milwaukee, WI - Chicago IL area I've got enough to share. And it would be nice to meet some other cardstock modelers.

Try to use some of it for Rastlcon, or you could give some away as door prizes.Is Denny sponsering that, btw?

Yes, RastlCon is being organized by Rastl. Very ego-trippy.

I can't see large sheets of foam core being much desired but I could put half a dozen as a door prize. See if anyone wants them.

I haven't asked Denny to be a sponsor but there's no reason why I couldn't. The logistics are what have prevented me from doing it since everything is electronic here and it's difficult to get the prize to the right person, etc.

But Denny if you're reading this and feel like donating a set or two give me PM and we'll discuss.

Actually Denny and WWG should give you the go ahead to put together some starter packs - Ream of Cardstock, Knife, rule, glue and a CD-ROM of sets.

This get the person ready to go straight of the cuff.

Um, all prizes are donations. I have very few personal funds to put into this thing besides renting the hall and the operations stuff.

So I can't pull off a 'starter pack' as a door prize. Between the weekend before Thanksgiving and the opening day of deer season here I don't think I could actually have picked a worse day to have my convention.

No I was thinking that WWG should sponsor (send monies via PayPal) that way you could bundle it all up.

D'oh!

I just realized that I can finally make a full set of masterboards! No more hoarding precious, precious foamcore!

Today at Wal mart I found 3 sheets of PRISTINE black foamcore for $2.88 each. Of course the rest of the sheets they had looked like they had been trampled by a herd of stampeding elephants. At Office depot, a 3 pack was $13.99 (ouch!). I am planning on using the Hinterland set I just purchased set to create a game table similar to Halo 3's "Valhalla" online room for my Halo Actionclix game. I am pretty new to cardstock modeling and am amazed at what can be created with these sets. In time I will need to get some sci fi terrain for bases at each end of the board. I may get Mars Station but would prefer having a set that comes in 1.5" to accommodate the Clix bases. I almost feel bad about checking out the Orbital Starter kit from Stones-Edges. Even though I am new here, I feel the need to remain loyal to WWG. You guys rock and have awesome products!!
