I dabble in Flash. I'd been meaning to fool around with a grid-snap technique in one of the tutorials but hadn't been able to maintain interest. Then, after seeing the floorplan layout by Andorax, I thought it would be cool to have an interactive mapper that let you play around with possible designs. A couple of days of head scratching while I tweaked the code and voila!

that's pretty neat, though I could use some rotate feature. Otherwise, I can't rotate the objects into place.

Perhaps put some buttons for rotate, delete on the current object. Or make it a right-click context menu. Or both...

It rotates the pieces by holding down either control or alt key when you click....
