My first build. The Linx System didn't work out as well as I had hoped, as I found there was a lot of gapping. I've found that a road-based map like this demands a lot more space to layout and unfortunately in my one-bedroom apartment I really don't have the space to store all of it.
Has anyone kitbashed the high-rise rail to have the 1.5" grid and maybe even have steps up the sides? If not, that may be my first project once I get the Mayhem Rail set and size up the piece alongside the railcar.

Very nice. You did a great job on the elevated sections, they look nice and straight. I would worry too much about the gaps, tiny imperfections usually are overlooked in the WOW factor of such a great looking layout. The only way I know of to eliminate some of the gaps is to use larger boards. I know how space can be an issue. I share a small apartment half the week with my son and that's where I do a lot of my builds. My dungeon masterboards are 20"x30" each and stored standing on end behind a bookcase in my bedroom. Nice clean build The best way to avoid visual gaps from inconsistent cuts is to use black core foamcore. Other than that building city street modules is probably the smartest way to do things. As Luckyjoe points out though, space can start becoming an issue (although there's always room at the back of a closet to store masterboards).
