I've been working hard on my first full set. (I've already done some Streets but have not attempted a full building with interior rooms.)

I bought Mayhem Bank, as I am mostly a heroclix player and the bank screams for some superhero/supervillain action.

Being my first build like this, I've had to improvise quite a bit and have been experimenting to make it fully collapsible for easy storage...and tonight, I think I've finally figured it out. I have the entire first floor done (With the high ceilings) and am working on the brick wall pieces that surround the building so we can get out a few quick games on the board.

Has anyone else completed this set? I've searched the forum and have not found any pics or mentions. (I know it's still fairly new.)

Just looking for someone to bounce ideas off of and see what they have done/are doing.

Build Specs:
1.5" grid Foamcore tiles and walls, cardstock accessories filled with air-dry clay for weight and stability, and a bit of Matteboard here and there.


I made long straight street sections that are three squares long to box in my entire base. For the center tile, I photoshopped out the sewer lid and sewer grates for variety. Also, I flipped the garbage on the street so that it isn't as obvious that the same texture print had been used. The actual Mayhem Bank tiles that fill the middle are a bunch of free shapes that were cut for easy storage.


I made four 4-way intersections for the corners with a variant of the kanelinks technique to lock a frame around the free-cut shapes in the middle of the board, which prevents them from moving around, as the middle pieces have no linking effort made. I did this around all four sides in case I decide to connect a future block build. If I have extra ink and time once I'm done, I may go back and redo the center tiles to include this linking method.

An overhead view of where I currently stand in the process. All four walls are unglued at the corners. I constructed a square top bracket and am working on corner bottom brackets that will have paper thin anchors that will slide under the base tiles to lock the corners in place.


The entire build (with accessories elsewhere in a shoebox) broken down for easy storage.

I know some of the ground tiles are a little off, but not my primary concern as of yet. Once it's complete I'll go back and touch it all up. I used sticker paper and realized that my printer needs to be realigned after it was all already printed, so just stuck em on for now just for the sake of timeliness.

It looks very good so far. The square frame is a good idea.

I really like the idea of collapsible models since its easy to quickly run out of room for them. I might start doing something similar in the future. It would make it much easier to transport as well. Good idea.

Looks great! Good idea on the links, too. Since your always going to have road pieces around the central tiles, may as well include the link bit with them. Smart thinking!
