Hi, everyone. I just got Chaos in Carpathia, a gothic horror skirmish game using SuperSystem rules where you can play warbands of Vampires, Werewolves, Monster Hunters ala Van Helsing, or Treasure Hunters. The rulebook lists 6 campaigns, one of which is "The Crypt". Reading over the scenario description I thought Gothic Realms would be perfect to make the terrain for the scenario: you need columns, elevated stone crypts/coffins, and some treasure. It's the crypt of a great old family so I also used floor tiles from Cathedrae Noctic, with the base from the Necropolis Special for an altar (not required, just too cool to pass up ), and some of the demonic statues for eye candy and cover. I also used Gloriar's Coffin kitbash for the lower ranking vamps' coffins. Both of the coffin types (Gothic Realms and Gloriar's) have removable lids and textured interiors which makes them ideal for hiding treasures.

I also tried a couple of new things in the build. I used a 20x30 inch, 1/2 inch thick foamcore for the masterboard (pretty strong) and taped the floor tiles to the masterboard with Scotch permanent double-sided tape instead of my usual Tacky glue. That worked out pretty well, no dry time, but I got some of the floor tiles a little crooked. Anyway, here's some pics.

I also printed out a bunch of the blue and brown fold-over walls from CN, as well as some door walls and stairs for this build. However, I don't think I'll use them for this build, I kind of like the openness of the layout. There were a lot of neat elements as part of this build, the CN floor tiles are excellent, especially the pentagram and bloodstains. The cryptwall from Gothic Realms is another excellent component and easy to build.

@Highland Piper: Thanks. I wasn't too sure how the CN floor tiles would work with Gothic relams but I think they go pretty well. And the other CN props cross over pretty well also.

I made some more pieces for my Chaos in Carpathia board. Added some foamcore modular walls from Cathedrae Noctis and used Sticky Tac to anchor them both to the groundtiles and to the other wall pieces. Kitbashed some cover pieces for the joins between walls and made some simple cover pieces for the corners. They are also secured with Sticky Tac. Made some edging strips for the top of the walls and the edge of the 1/2 inch foamcore masterboard. I really like the Sticky Tac. This is the first time I've used it. Thanks to LD2062 for the tip. Also tried another tip I saw here on the boards. I found some of these glue sticks at WalMart. It lays down a line of adhesive as you drag it across the surface to be glued. The "tape" comes in different widths. I used it to secure the edging strip to the Masterboard. Very fast, easy, and so far seems to hold very. Even repositionable. I think I like it even better than double stick tape. I just wonder how it will do for warping if you use it to secure cardstock to cardstock. There's a little tension on the paper as you drag the adhesive across the surface. It could be enough to cause cardstock to warp. Anybody else Know?

The covers are a nice touch. I really like the modular foamcore walls though. I'm going to give some thought to doing the whole cathedral that way.
