Over the past week or so, I've been following Andorax' instructions to assemble a street corner for my 'Clix gaming. I completed the main parts for the first corner in time for a tournament this past week.



I still want to add a few things: Signs, street lights, other props, but it's been fun to assemble and to play on so far.
And, it went over pretty well with the players at the tournament, too.

A few days ago, a friend and I got together for another HeroClix battle. We decided to play "The Avengers vs. The JLA" as a theme. And where better for the teams to duke it out than in the middle of a street corner!? (Well, there probably were other places, but we fought in the street.)

To set things up a little differently than three large open areas, like I used in the tournament, I changed one of the corners to the gas station/garage, apartment, shop module. I had to take the lights/top off of the gas station overhang - and leave the roofs off of the other buildings in the module - so that we could play in those spaces, but that was it.

It was fun to play on.

That looks great. That armory gas station complex is one of my favorites. Where did that coke machine on the gas station lot come from?

Luckyjoe: Thanks. The soda machine was one of the items from the WizKids "Outdoor Adventure Pack," as were the crate (under Green Arrow), the lamp post, the mailbox and the "indestructible" dumpster (in the "L" of the building, possibly unseen).

This build is coming along great. Are you foamcoring the buildings?

As far as foamcore support goes, I'd have to say a qualified "yes." I am using an L-shaped piece of foamcore, to brace some of the walls. The short end of the "L" is glued to the base of the building, and the long end runs up the wall. I also added some foamcore to the inside of some of the roofs, to help support them when figures are placed on them.

That looks nice! I like the 3 levels of the building cluster. I haven't built any of the flats, yet, because I like my buildings with interiors, but seeing how nicely yours came out, I may have to give it a try. Thanks for the great pics.
