Ooooh.
If I squint my eyes *just* right, I can see Spider-Man or Daredevil swinging from those lampposts.
I eagerly await completion, credit card in hand . . . .

Now that is one fine city block! The scene reminds me of Half-Life 2. Maybe it's because the streets are deserted.

Note to self: Set aside money in the game budget for Urban Mayhem.

In the dark future of Urban Mayhem...there are no bike lanes.
Unless, of course, that's an option we just haven't seen yet
Why do I have the sudden, distinct feeling that there's going to be a "create your own billboard" contest soon after this hits the "shelves", and a lot of billboard swapping going on?

This will do very nicely for modern Highlander. Yes it will.

Denny, you have definately upped the texture quality with each subsequent release.
Those roads & building sides look absolutely fantastic. You had better be carefull, because some game company may scoop you up and put you to work for them for steady pay...
Then what will we do?
Congrats on finishing up the Rezolution! Can't wait to see it also!

ps. I think I'll opt for raised sidewalks when i build my set.

Oh very nice, but maybe just a little "too Modern", while i know it is Modern i am hoping for a little Future Edge in places.
That's not to say i don't like it, it is Very nice, and i like it but just want a little more future, will wait and see (most likely will buy it anyway...)

Very, very nice. I'm kinda glad that my Necessary Evil game is on hold for a while, until this quarter's over. This set looks like it will work splendidly with that!

Thanks for the warm words all . This is just a taste of what I've been up to

I had a personal breakthrough around the time I started design on Chunky Dungeons. Designing photoreal textures from scratch finally "clicked" in my head and I've been developing some really cool techniques ever since. It's like a previously hidden frontier of knowledge magically opened up to me

They can come to me for subcontracted work if they like but they'll never steal me away from you guys

Dont worry, I'm working on a Rezolution expansion that will fit into UrbanMayhem like a glove. This will update the city to a more futuristic look and feel.

Now THATS what I'm talkin' about!
I think I can see my "favorite set" on the horizon. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Looks awesome Denny!

Have been off the net for three or four days (I should have paid the bills eariler ) and I get back to this.....
Wow!!!
I love it.
Just a quickie: Is that road/sidewalk one level or are you splitting it to give you a gutter?

The ground tiles look level. You can see it where they join at the bottom of the pic.

Same thoughts here... It looks very nice, but right now I don't play a game that fits straight.... either too modern or not SF enough *sigh*
Hopefully there are elements that can be canibalized

hi all, 1st post here
This set is looking very nice...
Though I have to say I hope there are 'cleaner' city areas planned as well... I've got plans to play some of the Homefront Campaign from the Starship Troopers CGI using this set, and having finally seen a preview, I think it's gonna be a blast! It'll also be great for Gangs of Mega City One.
Though I would like a few hints about what exactly is gonna be in the first set, I'll buy it anyway I think this is gonna be my favourite set, above First Light.
Two questions though - 1. how modular is this set going to be? It looks like it's pretty flexible, based on the one preview.
2. When is it gonna be ready?

Now that I have seen the style of Urban Mayhem, I am thinking that there HAS to be a Tattoo Shop. What seedy neighborhood doesn't have one? Heck, these days it seems like even the nicer 'hoods have one too.

That ran through my mind as well.
Vampire would work, as would D20 Modern.
And if Rodney et. al. are interested in doing a Mutants & Masterminds scenario I believe that the game has a free license.

No doubt my gangs from Gangs of Mega City One will be roaming the streets.
AWESOME

More substantial previews coming. In the mean time here's a close up texture sample from one of the road sections.

Ooo! SWEET!
You certainly have been improving your textures! Man, I thought you were good with DungeonWorks...
I can't wait to see more!

If mounted upon formcore - you could cut out the manholes and have a bit of depth underneath. The cut outs could also be used as weapons

That's nice but I sure hate how Himmelveil has fallen off the map. Nothing appears to be happening with it, nobody is talking about it, and as far as I can tell there are no sneak peaks yet. And the WIP bar looks like it should be renamed the RIP bar.

I know what you mean Johnnygs, I really like what I'm seeing here, but have little or no use of it at this time. I can't wait to see what this set will look like in the end, and it's on my purchase radar for the future, but I too would really like to see some advancement in the Himmelviel series, oh well, us experienced forum members (just realized I passed 200 posts, and made it into the top ten posters ) are quite used to this, I just hope Himmelviel doesn't go the route of Hovels & Homes Interiorworks .
It seems we have been taken over by the Modern enthusiasts !
