Description

MAYHEM: Streets of Legend

Choose between 3 texture themes in all popular grid sizes:

  • Clean urban sprawl
  • Dirty inner city squalor
  • Apocalyptic mayhem!

Each richly detailed theme offers gamers the ability to build truly modular, truly multi-leveled, 3-D layouts on-the-fly. Design covered underground roadways, elevated road networks, overpasses, multi-lane highways, multi-story concrete precipices, inset alleys or scale it back to small local traffic areas. Choose between realistically scaled city streets or tight quarters roadways. Transit walls, railings, stairs (in 3 formats), ramps, pillar posts and all the raw components you need to create the exact city infrastructure layout you desire. Full GSD support (automated cutter files) for those who own CraftRobo and or Silhouette SD machines!

Pretty standard pack, mainly a bunch of ground printouts, nicely put together. My only issue is that there is no double-height wall in this pack. Not much variation between dirty and clean, but it all fairness how do you make streets look different.

The infrastructure for my Fallout game - and a big chunk of what makes it look the part.

I would love to see more ground tiles made to expand on this set - rail lines, more Dirty streets, and some sewers would be grand. (Of all the styles I find Dirty the most useful, it can blend well with the Apocalyptic style, making it less repetitive, or it can be used as a bridge between Apocalyptic and Clean.)

The first build used was a car tunnel using this set and some cars from Mayhem Destroyed. Feral ghouls leaping among the cars, and cars still holding volatile fuel just waiting for a stray shot.

This is a great collection of streets in several styles, not just ranging from clean to apocalypse, but also including cement and concrete versions. I like how easy it is to mix the styles to expand your options.

That said, I feel the inclusion of a couple styles of parking lot would have been great. This set is a recasting of an older street set, which includes not only parking lots but rail elements as well. Currently, the only way to get them is to get some older sets (which are still available, but would require some bashing to fit TLX).

Another thing that I might have wished would have been a road-to-mud/grass/trail/gravel set. Again, some other sets have some, but would require a bash to be fully compatible to TLX.

Regardless, this set is a must-buy if you're going to do any kind of modern gaming. It provides a solid foundation from which to build.
